Default GT2 Coilover Shock Install

Ok, The rear of the car is complete, the front is almost complete except that the lower shock bolt flange holes are about 1/16" less than the lower control arm on the car. Both sides. Has anyone else run in to this. I think the simple solution is to just ream/drill the one hole in the control arm.? Any yea or nea on this idea. Everyone has been so helpful, just want to make sure that's what you guys would do.

I had the same exact issue, called LG and was told it was cool to make the holes a little bigger.

Congrats on getting the back half done.

Out of curiosity I have an 07 with the vin # 1g1yy25u675104353. I was told by LG they never heard of them lining up, maybe there's a batch out there with the holes drilled wrong?

Maybe, should created a little problem. I drilled it, alls good. I set all my shocks at #9...how about you. I don't really plan on racing. I just did it for better ride and road handling.

I went straight for 20 and preloaded the springs about 1/2''. The car is also lowered 1in front and 1.5 rear. I was after pure performance but the car is more comfortable then the original z51. Though each wheel is now stiffer the coil overs allow the car to adapt to road imperfections without tilting side to side. The is no loan in turns, braking or acceleration.

Everyone will want somehting different. The beauty of coilovers is the adjustability. You can mes with it and make the car handle exactly how you want.

You must have big and better than the LG GT2 Coilovers.. mine only have about 11 qlicks per shock. They were the $1800.00 poverty shock.
