Default Multiple Handling related lights going off! PLEASE HELP!!

I just purchased my 2005 and the rear brakes were screeching so I swapped the rear pads and turned the rotors today. Before I changed them the "Service Active Handling" was on the display and also the ABS light. I figured it was because I needed pads.
Now that I did the brakes today upon start up it says "service vehicle soon".....Then it's fine up to about 65mph, then the ABS light goes off, "service traction system", "service Active handling system", and "Service Antilock brake system".

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Anyone have the same issues? Do I have some bad sensors. I have not scanned for codes because I don't know if I can like the C5's with the Option and fuel button trick. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT SO I CAN QUIT PULLING MY HAIR OUT.

Maybe a wheel speed sensor.

No, they did away with that code scanning on the C6's. You need a CAN enabled OBD II code reader. Cheap ones are as little as $25. Auto stores like Autozone will usually loan you a reader or do the reading for you for free.

Since you just got the car and know nothing about it or its history I strongly recommend pulling the codes and let us know what you have.

Anything we offer would be pure speculation with an unknown car like that.

Give us some more info about you're car. F55? Z51? I'm with d.medic, could def be a wheel speed sensor. I had similar issues with my F55 (magnetic ride control). It could literally be a thousand different things with that many codes/warnings flashing up. I'd take it to the dealer or someone you know who can properly diagnose. There's just too many things it could be.

Based on the research i've done I think my EBCTM went bad? Like I said I haven't scanned for codes yet. I have a Mac and was running windows and my HPtuners and it crashed. So i'm trying to find someones computer to upload HPtuners and get it scanned. The EBCTM going bad seems to be a more common C5 issue. Have you heard anything about the C6's going bad?

Sorry for lack of info guys. I believe it's F55, definitely not Z51 and not magnetic ride control. It has 52k miles, 6 speed, it was lowered a little when I got it.

F55 and magnetic ride are the same, the F55 will be on the RPO sticker in the glove box.

On the center console do you have a rotary switch (circular)?

No rotary switch on console. It's just the base suspension package I believe. But it has Active Handling whatever that is. I'm installing Hptuners on another PC right now and i'll post codes shortly. Thanks for everyones help.

No codes came up! I ran hptuners and scanned a drive for about 2 miles and the same stuff all came on as I approached 70 mph. Any ideas...

It's not an uncommon issue.

I just ignore it now on mine. AH/ABS/TC all go off after the first time I hit the brakes on my car, usually.

Although sometimes it'll go weeks/months without doing it and then do it every day for several weeks.

Yeah mine is only when I hit about 60mph the first time. But it's consecutive. Is there any solution? Have you diagnosed what the issue is? I guess I can disregard it for now. But does that mean I will not have ABS or traction control?

I should also mention that I I hit the traction control button prior to 60mph it will say "service traction system", but it still shuts off and on properly.

I haven't found what the problem is.

I tried unplugging and cleaning all of the wheel speed sensors, but I'm not sure that had any effect. It does seem to do it quite a bit more when it's cold out.

Hm. I disconnected the ground to the battery to do the rear brakes. Upon reconnecting it said "service vehicle soon" when I started it. Which was not on prior to doing the brakes. Then I reset the battery again and it went away but the ah/tc/abs Christmas lights continue at 60+

There's gotta be someone out there that knows how to fix the issue!

Article I found online about getting all three messages at the same time...

"If the SERVICE ANTILOCK BRAKES message is being displayed, your Traction Control System and the Active Handling System will also be disabled. The Driver Information Center will scroll three messages: SERVICE ANTILOCK BRAKES, SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM and SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING, and the instrument cluster lights will be illuminated along with a chime. The driver can acknowledge these messages by pressing the RESET button. When the service message is displayed the computer controlled systems will not assist the driver and you should have the system repaired by your GM dealer as soon as possible. Adjust your driving accordingly."

Your issues seems to for sure be related to the brakes. OR as stated before its BCM related which is very rare.

If you want to diagnose this yourself, I would start by pulling off one wheel at a time and inspect all of the wiring and sensors you can. Its a start.

Pretty good information...I was not aware that if the ABS went off that all three would go off as a result.

It's also worth noting that my ABS ALWAYS acts up first upon first braking and then the lights all pop up. I guess that explains it

Power4Life,
I've heard excellent things about the following dealerships in Texas:

Westgate Chevrolet, Amarillo
Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet, Fort Worth
Classic Chevrolet, Grapevine
Gunn Chevrolet, San Antonio

I hope this helps some. Let us know how everything works out.

Chevrolet Customer Service,
Justin

It has been awhile since I have done or heard anything about ABS. I believe that the sensors are magentic. If your rotors had the metal to metal contact with no brake pads. The metal from that can sometimes ruin the sensor. A friend of mine always replaces any ABS sensor that gets any metal on them (this is on any type vechile). I would check the ABS sensors for metal on them. I hope this help. Good luck.
