Our clutch pedal return spring kit is meant to be used in conjunction with the stock spring but it can also be used without the OEM spring. The stock spring is not a return spring but an over center spring.

Reason: Typo
is it new? because i can't find anything about it.
We have been using this product internally on our own development vehicles and on some customer vehicles since 2010. We introduced it to the public early last year (spring 2011).
The stock spring holds the pedal to the floor for those sporting high heels.
When you mod your car quite often the spring will cause the pedal to stick to the floor after shifting when accelerating at WOT. If you remove the stock spring, and keep the clutch fluid clean, often that will be enough to return normal clutch function.
This spring is an interesting idea for those that haven't been served by mere removal of the stock spring. I have someone in mind who's planning to replace his clutch now...I will alert him of this product.
well my stock spring is out and my clutch peddle is sticking to the floor at the track and making me miss 3rd and 4th gear. always 4th now. my clutch seems fine its not slipping, dont smell or anything. and i change the fluid all the time. even after i make a pass i will go 30 or 40 mph in 4th and floor it and it holds perfect. this looks like the last thing i will try and if don't work i will just have to break down and get a new clutch.
From the looks of the picture, this spring helps to pull the pedal off the floor? So in essence, this will add resistance when pushing the pedal in and also help pull it off the floor? Is that correct?

Looks like it to me.
When your car was having trouble, just free revving after the 1-2 shift, was your pedal on the floor or was it up?
If your clutch isn't slipping in a 3rd or 4th gear pull at 4800 rpm, the pressure plate has enough clamping force. Perhaps this product will be what you need to overcome the forces (centrifugal?) that are keeping the pressure plate from snapping back to the released position.
Maybe not; if it was a $400 part to try I'd say forget it, but for the price, if it buys you a few more years out of your clutch, worth trying!
Looking at buying this product. Here is an install and review on youtube about it:
Not much point in going through all of that, just remove the factory installed pedal spring that makes the pedal easier to press for those with high heels. This spring just offsets the factory spring.
I have removed a dozen of the factory pedal springs at the track and cured the pedal sticking down issue.
I have it...and in traffic it will tire your left leg out. So I disconnect it till I get to the track and stock spring is permanently removed. So far so good with the crappy corvette clutch.

Looks like life is back in this thread.... I started a thread just yesterday that combined with this one should help those with this kind of clutch issue.
