That sir, might be the million dollar question. . .

I would bet it lowers 30F regardless of ambient. The reduced IAT comes from the meth evaporating and that energy dissipation will give a constant temp reduction no matter what ambient air temp is. Kinda like putting a single ice cube in a drink. No matter what te room temp is, the ice cube will lower the drink xx degrees, all other things being equal.

I could be wrong as I haven't studied since I was in college... 15 years gives plenty of time to forget things like these, lol!

I'll give Alky Control a call here in a little bit and see what they have to say. If the meth does in fact lower the IATs on a N/A car by around 30*, I can't see any other reason why the car would not perform the way we're describing. I know there are a lot of other factors involved, but if it allows the car to perform as if its 30* cooler outside, it will be worth every penny.

Meth WILL lower your IAT's. It's like a liquid intercooler.

Call Julio at alkycontrol. He will talk you into a new system.

It wouldn't on my hot rod Subaru. You will need a SafeInjection which when it senses no flow it will lower the boost to non meth levels.

SafeInjection can also work to retard aggressive timing in non boosted apps.

The point of this meth system is not to run more timing and push the motor to the ragged edge. I'm only interested in a meth kit if it can in fact lower IATs -30* from ambient, which would result in winter-esque performance in the warm summer/spring months that Florida provides.

I don't expect the tune itself to change any, if at all, as the car runs just fine as is. I'm sure this will be a learning curve when/if it all comes together.
