New PR::Cam-only LS3 10.7@128 w/video
I had a race lined up against a very fast turbo Honda civic who is local here in Bradenton, FL and apparently that brings out my inner animal.
Track conditions were very favorable with low humidity, zero wind, high barometer, and 67* outside temp.
Track prep was decent and I was able to launch at 6,000rpm at nearly full throttle and cut a 1.506 60ft which is also a new personal best.
Mods are in sig.
Here is the video and timeslip.
Big thanks to Joe_G and others who are always so willing to lend a hand, return a text, and offer invaluable advice.

I don't think the rear is in much trouble, at least for right now. I don't dump the clutch, I ride it out smoothly and consistently. If you listen to the take-off, you can hear the clutch taking the brunt of the launch.
At least, that's the way I look at it. . .

Very nice! That's a wicked Civic though. Is it street driven? Can't stand the sound but it's wicked fast. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

It's under 2000lbs according to the driver.

Grats on the new record. That first run was as clean as you could hope for.
Civic was impressive....134 mph is bookin it.
Very nice video too. Seriously. Made drag racing not seem as boring as it actually is

Justin you are the man. You went from 11.5's and complaining about missing horsepower just a couple of months ago to being one of the fastest Vette guys on this board, without touching the car. You have really learned to drive that car, quite an accomplishment in such a short period of time. It took me a lot longer than you to learn to get 1.5 60 foots I can tell you that!
And you are faster than me now by quite a bit.
Way to go. Congrats!

By the way, I am impressed with that Honda...that thing moves and that guy is a good driver for sure to get that thing down the track so consistently.

Haha thanks everyone. I appreciate all the kind words.
Steve@grabalane does a really nice job with editing and stuff and was kind enough to put that video together. It was actually a pre-determined race for the #5 spot on our King of the Street(track) Tampa shootout. The cars ahead of me are all 9 second monsters so I'll be hanging around the #5 spot for awhile(hopefully).
Lol Joe, I was really complaining too, wasn't I? I was so bummed but looking back on it, all that changed was skinnies and driver mod. I'm really anxious to get the new rotors, battery in, and see if I can't grab a 10.699. All things being equal, I'll be dropping about 35 lbs off the car at the very least, so that should be .035, right? Assuming I can launch and get it to hook like that first pass, that should be a 10.699 or perhaps better.
I just hope I can get one or 2 more decent cool nights after I make the changes.
I didn't touch the tune either-normally I tinker with it and play around but this time I just left it alone-93 octane, 1/4 tank of fuel.
I'm getting real close to the ultimate goal for my cam-only setup--10.9(or better)@130(or better). I'm only 1.7mph away and I'm really optimistic that the newest round of mods will get me there.
The track officials did have a little chat with me on Thursday night though. . .I have to run N/T now and if the manager happens to be there, he may try and enforce my need for a roll cage. It didn't help that I showed up at the track in my work clothes--long sleeve button down shirt, dress pants, and dress shoes, and a helmet.
I'll be placing an order for a fire jacket before I head out the next time so that should hopefully buy me some freedom.
Thanks again for all the kind words.

Nothing wrong with dressing nice...you are piloting the gentleman's race car!
We have more in common that having blue Vettes and being Accountants!
