Why go through all that effort and not want a tune? You are most likely fine depending on your installed cam but it wouldn't hurt to check the tune/scan.
it wouldn't hurt, i wouldn't say it would require a tune, but it should be logged for knock and correct afr.
you should just go with a thinner gasket instead
Really? Why pull the heads and not get them worked? Ported, milled,etc. That is a lot of work to just put on a thinner gasket and bolt the head right back on. Just my $.02
Oh, and I would defiantly re-tune the car if I added compression.
