I'm looking to take off factory exhaust and put on a new one (Borla, Flowmaster...haven't decided).
My question is...I need an installer and have been told to make sure I get one who has the computers to re-calibrate the car (2005 C6 coupe).
Does anyone know if this is true? I'm only replacing from the Cats back. So do I have to have some special Vette guru exhaust expert...or will any Muffler shoppe be able to do this?

Cat-backs do not require a retune. However, I saw a thread here recently where the blogger was quoted an astronomical price and told he would have to have the rear end removed before the install. DON'T BE FOOLED! It's a simple process that you could do yourself with some good jackstands. If you're providing your own mufflers, it should not cost more than a buck & a half.............
That's true...it's pretty simple, but the first time you do it it'll probably take 2.5 hours on jackstands with hand-tools. Especially if the car has some miles on it and the bolts and pipes are harder to break loose. Just depends on what your time is worth.
