Default Toyo r888 pic request

Can anyone provide a shot of Toyo r888 on stock rims of a narrow body c6?

I'm looking to run 265/305 on the stock rims and wanted to see a pic of this setup if possible

Any pics would be helpful.

I would be curious about these tire sizes as well, I was looking at mounting the same tires on a set of TSW wheels that are .5 inches wider front and rear that stock.

No pics, but I can tell you that 275/305 combo will fit on stock C6 rims. I have TC issues on hard acceleration above 90 mph at the track due to differences in wheel diameters. I think the 265/305 combo would fit fine with minimal bulging, would fit perfect under the stock fenders and would avoid the TC issues all together - that's what I will buy next.

This was back in 2008 with 255/35/18s and 295/30/19s on the stock wheels. Wheels were originally painted silver, but after some curb rash I spray painted them black for autocross use.

None at all. The stagger was about right, although the diameter of both tires was smaller than stock. (Front is 25.1" dia, rear is 26" dia, so almost an inch of stagger.)

This was before I trailered to events, so I drove many miles to and from events from NH to Canada and from NH to WV without any TC/AH/ABS issues.

I run the same setup. If I forget to turn off traction control at the track TC will kick in at around 100mph.

Thanks for the info. Have you found any combo other than stock sizes that will work on the track without TC Issues? I was hoping that 265/35/18 and 305/30/19 may work. Anybody have issues on the track with this setup?

Sorry to hijack the thread...

Thanks crowhater. Are you lowered at all? I'm trying to gauge how much wheel gap will result by switching to this setup.

I have not tried any other setup yet. My next step is to go to LG World Challenge Wheels and Hoosier A6 in 275/35/18 and 325/30/19. I may look at the tires you are quoting when it is time to replace my current R888's.

Are these tires drag radials? I so how well do they work, and what other tire are they comparable to?

I run R888 on the Front but my back tires are the Toyo TQ proxy drag radials. I have tried them all and I feel they work as well as the others if not better but the high point is how long they last. I have over 10k on my rears right now and at least 20 passes. The center is just now starting to get smooth.
