HERE ARE THE VIDEO/AUDIO
I included view of dash to see RPM, oil pressure and coolant temp.
The first one is a cold startup this morning. All you can here is the normal valve train clatter. http://youtu.be/3NDisnWz76M
Then after about 5-6 minutes later on the second video you can hear the clackity-clack sound I am talking about. It can only be heard well when the hood is down and listening from the bottom. http://youtu.be/2W_Q0-rRRuU
If you compare the two it should be easy to hear the noise I am referring to
If you noticed my dash you will see that I had low pressure in one tire. After filling with air and about another 5 minutes passing the noise was mostly gone.
Sounds like lifters please take it to someone who knows these cars I would pull valve covers. oil pressure is at 50 that's good. Take it to dealer and talk to the service manager..... I would recommend since your in Cal 972-824-0793 Angelo
Call me if your mechanically inclined I can guide you thru it.... I would first pull covers inspect heads and valves and rocker arms.. call me tell me what you find...

It makes more noise because the idle speed is lower and you notice it more once the car is warmed up. Cold start = 1,000~ rpm idle. Warmed up = 650~ rpm idle. The noise is still there in both videos...
Agree the sound is in both videos, but more noticeable in the second one.
My thought is that it is a noisy lifter that is not pumping up properly. That's why it would be more noticeable in the second one as the oil heats up and thins out, making it more difficult for the lifter to pump up.
I seem to recall that GM had a problem with lifters a year or two ago as their volume ramped back up after the bankruptcy.
Best bet is to take it to reputable shop/mechanic and let them/him have a listen.
It's always tough to tell just by listening to a recording.
The first and easiest thing I would do is look for a leak at the exaust manifold/headers. Replace the gaskets as well. Then I would check the spark plugs to see if one is cracked or loose or if you have a loose plug wire that is arcing. I've seen issues like these cause abnormal engine sounds similar to what you are hearing. FYI, when I had a lifter go, it didn't give any warning.

Thanks for the offer but I'm comfortable changing my brakes out and that is it. I wouldn't even do the spark plugs

I think you're fine though..
Wierd I cannot hear it on the cold start, only a few minutes later when the idle settles down.
It is actually very noticable accross the garrage, away from the valve train noise.
I am going to take another video on friday of this and with the car revved as someone wanted to hear this on my C6Z06 thread.

This is a new (6k old engine) GM replacement. So its possible for an exahust leak and every thing had to be reinstalled to motor. And I was having a Service Traction System/CEL that was traced down to a bad plug !!
