Am I losing HP? Performance HELP!?
Hello Tech. Guru's,
I have an 05 coupe w/ auto transmission. All reg. maint. (oil changes, etc.) has been done at appropriate times. Just rolled over 50K miles. No engine mods have been done.
But it seems to lack that "get up and go" that it used to have. Could I be losing hp? Any tuning required that I have missed?
Also, it seems as if it doesn't change gears as quickly (or smoothly) as it used to. I believe I'm due for a transmission fluid change and might as well change filters too...but will it really help my problem that much?
any suggestions?

The 2005 owner's manual says to change the automatic tranny fluid at 50K miles in case:
Probably wouldn't hurt to change it anyway.
Manual also says to replace the engine air cleaner filter at 50K miles.
Others may have some more suggestions.
(h) Change automatic transmission fluid and filter if the
vehicle is mainly driven under one or more of these
conditions:
− In heavy city traffic where the outside temperature
regularly reaches 90°F (32°C) or higher.
− In hilly or mountainous terrain.
− Uses such as high performance operation.
