Positraction Binding?
My 2007 has the posi grinding in the rear. I still have the 5/100 powertrain warranty. Has anybody had the new Dextron LS fluid done under the powertrain warranty? I went to my local dealer to inquire about it. I had them pull up the TSB for it but they didn't know if GM would pay. They were suppose to call me back but it has been a week. The service writer was more worried about where I bought my car from than the problem.
If the warranty is still in effect have them determine what the problem is and have them tell you what they recommend doing about it. Just walking in and telling them to perform the work in a TSB because you hear a grinding sound doesn't provide sufficient evidence for the service to be done under warranty. There has to be a problem diagnosed by a dealer mechanic and the dealer mechanic recommends the work in the TSB as the solution.
What if your diagnosis is wrong and there is a more serious problem?

My diagnosis isn't wrong, the car has the typical posi chatter that is described in the TSB. If GM is covering it under the 5/100 powertrain warranty I will let them do it. If not I will do it myself.
