Default Wider rear wheels

No response in "General" so giving it a try here:

On a stock bodied c6 base has anyone here widened their rear wheels with inset only. To what extent can this be done, if at all, without having any clearance issues? TIA

Great info here. In short, you can take some 18" front wheels and have them widened (by weldcraft) to the inside by 2.5", and this will fit (with Mickey Thompson 18" drag radials) will no clearance issues, giving you MUCH more off the line traction.

it's a long thread (but very informative). Happy reading.....
