For comparison--I went 11.5@117 with boltons and then 11.5@122 on my very first time with the cam. It took a little time but I'm finally used to the setup.
Exactly, it always takes time to adjust/relearn/master a new combo and that's part of Dennis was/is facing as well.

With a little tweaking, learning to drive, skinnies, new tune, etc, the car now goes 10s consistently.
the very next pass after the 10.59 pass it wheel hopped and blew the rear, i didn't want the same rear housing and waited a long time then i found out about the adapter for the second generation, then i found a leak on the garage floor and thought it was a seal, had it fixed then it leaked again , every time i stepped on it would leak again, found a hairline crack in the side cover, buy the time it all got fixed its 2 years later. and i never drive it anymore, i brake stall it, go easy, roll into it, it goes up in smoke.
thanks Joe, guess i have to try some different ones
If they are 4 years old, they are done in my experience. I think I'd stop searching for a reason, you just found it.
They may be ok for someone turning 1.8's or 1.9's with a stock converter...but not a guy like you!
Oh and I had a problem with peg leg burnouts after one of my rear end rebuilds...turns out the shop uses Royal Purple. i asked them to fill it with stock spec gear oil plus additive, and it was posi from then on! Maybe that's your trouble? That royal purple is some slick stuff.

i drained out the gear oil 2 weeks ago and added royal purple + 7oz of friction modifier, it is fish tailing now, it was hard to keep in my lane, it was all over when it was peg legging it was straight as an arrow, i might try some brake fluid in the dif to swell the clutches to make sure

Yeah we have to address that one somehow, could be the tires or even the shocks but I think Joe may be right about the tire's age.

But as Dennis mentions he seems to be doing a little better than before with it in there so hopefully that one area of concern is fixed.
