Default Help! Dynomax Race Bullets

The stock exhaust on my 05 MN6 is just to quiet. Until i have the necessary funds to purchase +1k$ exhaust (I am in college) I was thinking of getting Dynomax Race Bullets. I watched a youtube video and they sounded really good but I cannot find anymore info on them it seems as if they arent very popular. I was just going to get them in place of the stock mufflers.

Never heard of anyone using them on a vette. Would probably take some work to get the tips to line up if you tried to used them. I had them on my 91 1500, they were crazy loud, droned really bad, but man they sounded awesome and shook buildings.

Cherry Bomb also makes a small straight through muffler axle back for less than $450..... See Here........

I think fitting them in may be a little more difficult then on most cars but a decent shop should be able to do it. Another option would be a nice SLP Loud Mouth system. We have them in stock with pretty fair pricing and free shipping. It would probably be close to what you end up paying for bullet mufflers and then getting a shop to weld them in.

Just cut the stock mufflers off and have new pipe welded in their place.

Dynomax race bullets are little more than just straight pipe.

Since you're in college and don't have any money and want to mod your corvette, you should just hacksaw the mufflers off and let the exhaust blow from underneath the car or go to home depot and get some $5 dryer venting and extend it out.

Or just reorganize your priorities and finish college. OK, Son, I'm off my soapbox now

....or do like I said and just cut the mufflers off and replace with 2.5" piping.

Very cheap and can be done very easily. I know people who did this on their C5s and it sounded great.

Lol I understand the sarcasm, I only have two semesters left of college and I am on the deans list so I'm doing well lol. I have used a local exhaust shop with my old truck and they always give good service and usually have some stuff in stock. Is cutting the mufflers and replacing it with a straight through pipe not going to be the same as straight pipes?

Yeah, it'll be the same.

Not to change the subject, but congratulations. That's a great achievement.

A guy in my wrenching club has an LS3-swap GTO w/ LG G6x cam and Bullet exhaust. It sounds nasty as hell, but it's effin' LOUD. Almost obnixiously so. And they will drone so bad in a C6 your ears will bleed.
Only guys I know that run Bullets are hardcore racers and weekend warrior-types. If you're going to be driving it everyday, I'd keep looking. There's a reason a lot of C6 guys don't run them like other groups do.
