I have FlowMasters and very happy with them.

Since you have a convertible you are not as prown to "drone" issues that some have with various after market exhaust systems. Some coupe owners report sound resonating from the hatch area. I have heard here on CF that owners with Auto's sometimes have more of a challenge to keep the RPM in a no drone range with some after market systems.

There lots of good exhaust out there. It's going to come down to how loud, how shiny and how much you have to spend.

My Flow Masters give my car a nice " Muscle Car" sound. Not super loud. Nice rumble at idle.

I have a 05, coupe A-4 and was thinking about going with the Flow master with quad tips. How is the drone? Read where one CF member said it was unbearable. I had some on my Silverado and had no problem. I love the way they sound.

I think the best bang for the buck are the SLP LM 2's.

I don't have any problems with Drone. I just took a 1500 mile trip from GA to VA and had no issues. My wife at one point in the trip said "Your Car is a little louder with the new exhaust isn't it?"

She had no issues with the sound and the RPM's most of the time were in the 1200-1400 range while going down the Interstate in 6th Gear.

That said, I have a convertible and don't have the sound resonating from the hatch area.

Here is a link to a CF thread on Flow Masters which I started just before putting them on to get opinions from those who actually own Flow Masters. Its a good read and should help you.

Try and ride in a car with the system you want. We all have different tolerances for drone.

Corsa Sports or Touring( which are very mild) offer the least amount if any drone.

Some sound great on the outside but are unbearable to live with on the inside for longer drives.

I have Flowmasters on my SUV and they drone like crazy, kinda a hollow sound.

Right now I have the Z06 manifolds into the Corsa Sports and love the sound with no droning. Just enough yet not obnoxious and deafening inside the cabin.

Borla Touring Full Catback Exhaust w/ X-pipe on a 2007 Corvette Vert, A6
P/N 140451

I love it!! No drone at all, wife approves and is very happy there is no drone - this was a big concern since I had a 95 C1500 Silverado with magnaflows and a 2000 Camaro with CAI, ST Headers and a flowmaster 40 -both with terrible drone.

Had the Borla in the Vette since March and has gotten to sound a little louder over time. Stall speed during down shifts sounds incredible. My son 14yo say it sounds like a Ferrari and absolutely loves it over stock. Heads turn all the time...

I stopped putting it in drive and only use the paddle shifter now.

Part of me thinks it could be a little louder so I am putting on an Airaid Intake next week. If needed, next step would be either high flow cats for more sound or LTH's. May go with the HF Cats first. Taking my time figuring it out. Bottom line - very very happy with Borla.

Specific on the sound - hard to explain in words, but, it sounds like an exotic sports car not so muscle-y (muscle under the shirt, not shirt off).

The drone will be unbearable if you add headers. The only exception is either the Corsa's or Z06/NPP bi-mode mufflers IMHO.
