Hawk HP+ (Plus) Review

quick review of the HP+ pads for base/z51 calipers:
195 shipped - front and rear through parts taxi
visual check through and install:
both boxes came with hawk's pad lubricant - more than enough for an entire job in one packet, so you can save the 2nd
no rubber on the backing plate/shim areas like youll see with some pads (but who wants more flex in floating calipers just to get a bit less noise?)
pad sets come with a spring installed for each of the inner pads
Test:
I can stop the car much quicker now; I can activate the abs much easier - one decent tap and the stock tires chirp.
Noise isnt as bad as I thought it would be - after a few hard stops, the metal on metal contact sound goes away. The only squeal I can hear is that from slowly stopping or dragging the brakes. The majority of the noise was really just the tires... (its fun)

Overall I think this is a great street pad. I have yet to see the dust that they are supposed to make (only drove a few miles) but if youre looking for something aggressive for the street, this is a great value compound to consider.
