Thanx,
I used the dual fans from Ragin Racing because it fits the stock rad. Wasnt exactly a direct bolt in as they claim, but fits very well in the ed and does a great job in traffic and low speed driving. I also put a casper fan switch so can turn them on when I want to.

Thank you for the education, I learn something new all the time on this forum.
On a 4 hour highway drive a couple days ago with a 160* tstat I saw oil temps of 169* and coolant 174* with my dewitts radiator and stock fan (though not running obviously). That is actually colder than I expected. Today in stop and go traffic for 30 minutes I saw oil and coolant temps in the mid 190s, still pretty low.

So did I get a bad rad or do I have air in the system?

I would check 3 things before suspecting the rad.

Air in system.... I have never had that issue after changing my fluids, normally after running a bit the thermostat opens and you see the level go down. Fill it up and it should be good.

Thermostat... it is possible your thermostat is not opening, or opening only partially.

Debris.... make sure you check for leaves or other crap blocking the airflow. The front of the a/c condensor and /or rad should be checked.

I still think it is air in the system. I had that problem once.
