What is the consensus in changing from 2.5" Stock Non NPP Exhaust to:
Stock adding Stock NPP.
or
1.75" primary Headers into 3" Collectors, High Flow cats, with 2.5" X-pipes out to stock non NPP axle backs.
or
changing from 2.5" Stock Exhaust to 1.75" primary Headers into 3" Collectors, High Flow cats, with 2.5" X-pipes out to stock NPP axle backs.

changing to 1.75" primary LT Headers into 3" collectors, High Flow Cats, with 3" X-pipes into 3" Z06 or aftermarket axle backs.
I am looking for a nice throaty, deep sound and an increase in all around performance. Will I lose too much back Pressure and Low-end Torque with the LS2 and full 3" pipes?

As far as I know the engine is stock. It had 5000 miles on it when I bought it on 2/14/2012. I don't plan on any engine mods more than a 160 deg thermostat and maybe an Intake Manifold. I have never had good luck with cam installs. The exhaust would be the first and maybe the only 'performance mod'.
I was talking to an automotive mechanic at work today that is really into Chevrolets. He drag races an early 70's Chevelle, so I asked him what he thought about full 3" exhaust. His opinion was that 90% of cars out there with 3" pipes only have them because their owners think it sounds cool to say they have 3" pipes. His drag car with stroked 383 has 1.75" primary Long Tube headers with 3" collectors adapted down to 2.5" straight pipes. I've pretty much decided on Stock NPP Mufflers.
yea i think if thats all you are planning on doing i would just stick with probably 1.75 headers and keep stock npp exhaust. there are good power gains with full 3" exhaust setups when you have more hp and do headers, intake, cam, etc...
