I'm plan on using Chuck for my A6 trans tune, but want to see if anyone has experience w/Mike's C6 tunes for engine and/or A6 trans.

Do a little research on both tuners

1.) Ask both tuners what you get for what you spend
2.) Ask to speak to individuals who have dealt with both, check the forum for the good, bad & ugly.
3.) Ask for track results for Corvettes with headers & one of their tunes
4.) What is each tuners policy if you are unhappy with the results of the tune.
5.) Written estimates of what is done and if any other changes are required for their tune.

I imagine you are looking at comparative shopping., Looking for apples to apples and no subjective seat of the pants but actual results, good luck

550 is high for a bolt on car. We charge 350 for a dyno tune. You are very close to us. Feel free to stop by if you wanna check out the shop.

What can I expect for my $350?

Are your tunes locked? What if I wanted to revert to the stock tune? Does that include the trans tune?

350 is a full dyno tune just like everyone else will do. It does include trans tune. We deff do not lock the tunes. I dont own them.

I'm pretty sure this is the only forum on the internet where people, for some reason, got convinced that trans tuning is not a standard part of a tune

Cracks me up

My vote is for RPM for a complete tune.

No joke.

I vote someone other than Chuck Cow. I spent a good hour or so collecting material for him to quote me on a tune and he never got back to me.

I wont fall into the hopeless game of "pick my tuner" but I'll add what I can. Speak with the tuners and make sure they're willing to give you what you want and not try and sell you anything you're unsure about. Picking their brain is obviously necessary since they know more than we do (that's why we're going to them) but don't stand for any games. There are far too many qualified tuners to stand for that. And definitely don't fall for any "don't listen to what all the haters on the forum say" BS. People usually don't just make sh*t up, but take everything with a grain of salt. Both from us and the shops. Either way I think you'll be happy with your choice. Personally I like to keep all of my shops/tuners close by just for my own convenience.

Likely, you can't imagine the volume of calls, visits, pms, and e-mails that come in here on a daily basis....

If anyone ever feels neglected by me, I must apologize.....

However, there certainly is no harm in RE-calling, e-mailing, or whatever....

Most men and their hot-rods don't think about them much in the winter (and I have lots of free time)

but many of them like to cry for attention when EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER I HAVE

calls me for information and pricing on the first nice day of spring....

Make sure your tuner is BUSY, VERY BUSY.....

If he doesn't get back to you right away....It probably means that he's good at what he does....

Call me if you need me.

This forum is not a good place to do such a thing though. Check around on other LSX based forums if you want to get unfiltered comments.

I'm sure that you will get a good tune.. If your a good tuner,, Its not difficult to TUNE any C5 or C6.

I will state that Chuck COW is the ONLY TUNER that can provide you with the the ONLY tuned in throttle booster on a C6!

That has to say something about his LS drive train tuning knowledge. I am very happy with ALL the work that Corvettes of Westchester has done for me. Chuck goes above and beyond to make sure that you tune is SPOT ON and your happy with the results!

Hmmmmmmm...........I recently got a full mail order tune from ECS for $150 on my 2010 GS. I also asked them to improve the throttle response so that it feels more linear like my cable driven LT1 stroker was. They did exactly that at NO EXTRA CHARGE and the car feels incredible now, much more responsive as it should have been from the factory. The car feels like it's giving me 25% power at quarter throttle and 50% power at half throttle and does not lag, it's perfect now.

Mention to Mike you want the throttle response to be more linear and you'll be glad you did even though most tuners will clean that up for you anyways as it is a common mod that many tuners know how to do and have been doing for years

Yep, "bad" posts relating to certain shops tend to get deleted very quickly
