Default ?

I don't have a clue -
but if it wee me I would
Take all the plugs out and drain the oil & filter -
Check the oil for water ?
Turn it over "manually" with the starter - check to see if water or
anything came out of the spark plug holes ?

good luck !

My guess would be to pull the plugs and try to turn over by hand. Should push out any water. Another thought would be to pull the plugs and use a scope to see inside the cylinders.

If you search the forum you will find posts on folks rebuilding C6 flood cars. They talk about the engine, replacing harnesses and other electrical components. Most of your questions will be answered in those posts.

Edit: I think you posted in one of those older threads. I guess you found them.

Salt water or fresh? How deep? Can you see a water line?

I read several flood C6 posts over the past few days. Are they giving these cars away? What is the appeal? Why a flood car?

Just wondering.

Remove intake, remove spark plugs.
Then turn over by hand.
Dropping the pan (if convenient is also a good choice).
Oil change....and good luck.

This is the submerged car?? Personally, I would disassemble completely unless you received it immediately after flooding and took action to clear out the water and protect the internals from water damage.
