Default Check Engine code reader
I just got my first check engine light on my 2006 C6. I would like to buy a code reader to try and troubleshoot myself. Will all readers work? Any recommendations?

Default any obd2 reader will work
you can buy them at any auto part store for @ $50-$70. some stores will also read the codes for free.

Go to Advanced Auto Parts or Auto Zone. They will read for free. They also have the code reader for sale, usually between $50-$130 depending on how fancy you get.
