We have members from all over the US and world, most typically well enough off. Middle to upper aged white haired fatties. Few poor, and few women. What's not typically representative with our 10%?

Either you're confusing me or I'm confusing you. Of the 100% of all C6 Corvette owners probably no more than 10% is represented here. Of that 10% I would do nothing more than "assume" that 5% have had some issues (some major and some not so major) and 5% have little to no issues. You're in the 1st 5% and I'm in the 2nd 5%.

OK, going back...
I believe that this forum has been a fairly good representation of Corvette owners in general.
As far as '05 owners, there may be significant skew comparing us to the world. But to think that early on, only a small percent of '05 owners were affected is misleading. That was my point. Of course many early cars were and are relatively trouble free.
I keep a Ctech charger on mine and I am going through batteries now at 47k miles, other than this recent issue mine has been perfect. Oh I also just started getting "service column lock soon" too upon start up
With around 37,000 2005s built and well under 12,000 2012s, there are only 1/3 the number of 2012s to have problems. Production numbers really nose dived after 2009 so problem numbers should have gone down accordingly. We only hear about the problem cars and never about the ones that are problem free. It can give you a skewed impression of vehicles and their overall reliability.
