Default Third tailight bulb replacement

My state inspection failed due to a faulty third taillight bulb being out. Is there anyone who can direct me as to how to replace this bulb without dismantling the entire rear end of the car?

You have to remove the two inner taillights. They are held in place with a single screw(torx) at the top. Just let then hang loose. If you're ****, wrap them with some old towels so they won't touch the paint. Then reach in with a 10mm box wrench and loosen the four nuts that hold the spoiler to the rear bumper. Normally, it only takes 1/4-1/2 turn to loosen and then they can be removed by hand. Just a suggestion...don't drop the nuts.

The spoiler will then lift straight up(normally there is some resistance as the studs will drag on the holes in the bumper). When you get the spoiler free( it will lift clear by 4-5 inches), you can then disconnect the electrical connector.

After you change the bulb, reverse the procedure.

The actual light is LED. So if any one section is not lit then you'll have to replace the complete unit.

It's a light assy, not a singular bulb

Hey OP, make sure to test your harness before buying a new assembly. You might have a bad connection or a blown assembly. Identify which one first. Good luck.
