Default Camshaft fitment help! Quick replies needed

Hey guys, my car is in the shop apart and the guys there are waiting on my cam from Vengeance Racing. Upon arrival, the cam we got was not the Stage III ls3 cam that I ordered(231/243 617/624 115+3), but their "Kaotik" cam. Specs are 235/243 620/623 113LSA. 1st question is... will this fit? Stock heads and oem head gaskets are being used. Second is should I send this one back and wait for the one I ordered, or install this one as it's here and the car is apart? What would be the difference between the two?

I apologize for the confusion sir! We have found that the “original” Stage III Camshaft had too much of a split for that high of a duration in an LS3. After much trial and error we developed the Kaotik (new stage III) cam. The only difference between it and the original stage 3 is 4 degrees more on the intake duration and it’s cut on a 113+2 vs. a 115+3 We found that it retains the same drivability while making MORE power across the board plus a much better sound from idle to rev! It averages 480rwhp with headers and tune NA, and 700+ with a blower! Works amazingly in both applications. I will be updating the online store to keep from future instances like this. If you want the original stage III camshaft instead, we can make this happen. Again Kevin, I apologize for the mishap and hope that we can resolve this issue swiftly! Let me know how you wish to handle this sir. Thanks!

Thanks to Ryan and Kevin at Vengenace Racing for sorting this out! I ended up installing the KaotiK cam today.. PTV issues are not an issue with stock heads. Will post numbers and sound clips next week.

vette, I wouldnt recommend their stage 3 cam if you have an auto with a stock converter, I'd give VR a call and talk to them about your setup

S'vette,
Thanks for your interest sir! I would definitely put you with a 223/231 ( Our Stage I LS3) camshaft. You will achieve that awesome sound that everyone is shooting for and gain plenty of torque down low while still retaining your stock converter. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any more questions!
