Yes- I think you are- this forum only gets a small fraction of the views of the general forum. You can post almost anything there, unless you post something that one of the mods has a axe to grind on or obvious subjects like politics
I will be in the minority but I went with the OEM GY fun flats , but if my car came with GY supercars , I would change-- to soft of a compound for me

Try the tires and wheels section TireRack monitors the section and give good advise. Your needs will make a difference:runflat, all season, cost, life, traction, etc.
There's hundreds of threads, try a search on "tires C6"

just got a set of nito invo and they are great, softer, quieter, and great grip only difference from runflats that i've noticed besides the noise and traction, is the sidewall roll, they do have a little roll on the sidewall but they hook up just fine.
Replaced the factory GYRF with a set of Bridgestone Potenza RF in Z06 sizes. Made a world of difference. Smother ride, better handling, and quieter ride @ a better price.

I have an 08 C6 Z51 and currently on a second set of Michelin PS2 ZP's (not A/S ZP's). The first set were changed at 30k miles with a couple thousand miles left. I drive spirited, but do not track. I purchased them from Tire Rack and had them installed locally by a reputable installer. If you do not want a run flat tire, then get the Michelin Super Sport Tire. Either way they are great tires for the Z51, GS, Z06 or ZR1!!
For max performance, there's actually "Extreme Performance Summer" tires available for Z51 sizes. Bridgestone RE-11 would beat most anything except R-compound options in OEM size.
PS2 / PSS are great tires, and last longer (but not as sticky as RE-11).
Value: I would say Michelin PSS. ~$1550 and best bang for the buck in my opinion. We've used wide oval when we used to have a C5 Z06, and it was pretty bad once you start driving aggressive.
Note: My recommendations don't take a need for run-flat tires into account. Roadside assistance is good enough for me.
