Default HUD Install Question

I am using the cut the air duct method. I have cut the duct and removed the fastener next to the dash output. there is another bracket at the back I can't seem to release. I can see the bracket, but can figure out how to remove it. How do you remove that back connection? Thanks

I found an older thread and the guy doing his install said to just break it off. Guess that is the easiest way.

I did it this way and it worked fine. The one bolt on the left plus the aluminum tape to close the cut method made the duct rock solid when I put it back in.

Good to know. that was my major concern eliminating that mounting point. Thanks

it's still going to be bolted in and will also have the HVAC tape on it. Also don't forget that it's PITA to even get it back in even with cutting it. It'll be a tight tight fit.

I think he's referring to loosening the dash and then trying to shoe horn the projector in.
