Default Need help removing trunk lock cylinder... how do you do this?

I'm replacing my rear bumper and need to remove the lock cylinder. Does anyone know how to do this? It is held on by what look like a little star shaped butterfly clip. Thanks for the hlep!

Here's a picture of two different mounts for the keylock cylinder - one is flat and the other has a bend in it so the key goes in at an angle:







Bothe of them have a small hole at each end that is riveted to the rear fascia.

The keylock cylinder is held onto the mounting strip by rivets as well.

To remove the keylock cylinder, drill out the rivets.

When I replaced mine I just used nuts/bolts to fasten it back in.

I just drilled out the rivets on the mounting strip... looks like I'll be going the nut and bolt route too. Thanks.

Here's my cylinder bolted onto that mounting strip:




I also just bolted the mounting strip back onto the fascia using similar nuts-n-bolts.
