A6 Trans - Shifting Problem Battery Related??
I just replaced my battery as it died yesterday, it was the original 36 mos Delco, to a new Duralst Gold, and voila, problem seems to be gone. Shifting seems to be as it should and it doesn't "hunt".
Is this possible or sound remotely familiar to anyone? There was a TSB out a awhile back about this and when I took it to the dealer of course they said they couldn't duplicate it.
Feedback would be appreciated so I know if it may be something else if it starts to do this again.
Thanks!!
I don't know how they missed it; it does it every time; for example on a rolling stop situation. Once up to speed, say above 40mph, it's fine an doesn't do it. Again, what the drivetrain warranty time and mile limitation? Do you know if there's a TSB for something like this?
Thanks for your reply.
The Powertrain warranty is 5yr/ 100,000 miles. I would suggest taking your vehicle back into the dealer to have them check out the issue again. Also, suggest ridding along with the tech so you can explain it.
