Hey guys,
I am having issues getting the car into reverse... Sometimes its goes in just fine then other times doesnt go in at all unless I fiddle with it for 2 or 3 minutes (by fiddle i mean switch gears around 4 or 5 times and i can finally get it in). The gear doesnt grind at all and when it does go in easy its as smooth as butter but i cant figure out the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I had a similar issue with an aftermarket shifter (hope yours is the same and not that it just won't go into gear). With the Engine running put it in neutral and let the clutch out. Push the clutch in and wack the shifter to the right and push into reverse. I got really good at it after a while. The return spring on reverse can get really fun with a short throw...

I had that problem and it was that I shorted out the reverse shifter solenoid , check all your fuses under your hood maybe you blew that as well
Actually interesting enough the wack worked a few times I would have to slam it to the right and it would go right in but now its not liking anything.
Ill check the fuses tonight and ill have to check the springs on the shifter in a day or two.
Thanks!
