Default 2007 LS2 A6 Shift issues - retuning

Ive been having issues with getting the car to shift under wot in manual mode (totally stock ls2 all the way down to the paper filters and an A6 trans). It seems to hesitate then slam into the next gear.

Im about to pick up an hp tuners setup from my brother (used it for an old ls1 trans am) and was wondering if anyone had tuning files that may help - with the trans and possibly with a stock engine's tuning. Im relatively new to this stuff and only have minimal experience with this software, so any advice would be most appreciated. Fuel is east coast 93 octane and elevation is right at sea level.

Note: Id like to avoid paying a tuning co for files (and possibly a new tuning suite like efi live ) if i can just get away with paying the 100 bucks for the car's license on hptuners.

Thank you very much!

That's just how the stock A6 shifts with paddles. I find them completely useless after I got a stall and tune. When I had the stock stall they were good for down shifting for messing around roll racing with friends but that's about it. Just get a good tune and don't mess around doing it your self. The A6 is a finicky trans and you can ruin your clutch packs almost immediately with a bad tune. The car will be a completely different animal with a good trans tune.
