Default C6 display
Is there any way to access the display wthout having to run the engine? (ie ignition on, motor not running)

yes

1) to see mileage.. turn lights from auto to on , on turn signal column
2) to see display.. press ACC for something like 5 seconds and it will light

Never tried holding accessory down but if you try to start a manual without pushing the clutch its like turning a key to the "on" position but not the start position. The gauges will be on and reading current conditions.
