Is there a way to remove any baffles in the bi-modal system to make the exhaust even more aggressive? If htere is how is it done?

Are you asking about a Z06 Bi-Mode muffler?

To make a Z06 bi-modal exhaust more aggressive you eith weld the perforated pipes closed or clamp them closed. You could get rid of the flaps if you wanted it loud all the time, but you'd be better off with different mufflers that weigh less.

I am new to this exhaust system so I am not sure how it even works. Would you be able to offer an explanation so that I know where the perforations are so I have a better idea how it all works. I definitely would not want to get rid of the flaps all together if it would mean loud exhaust all the time.

Here's a thread on doing the popular "Z06 muffler mod" with pics. I think it will offer all you need to figure it out. Pic's in post #5, an add'l pic in post #11 showing the "clamp" option, as opposed to welding a solid pipe, of covering the perforated pipe in the muffler. Good luck.

I've seen a video showing just removing the EXH MDL fuse allows the Pierburg valves to remain open all the time. I guess there is a vacuum solenoid that is de-energized by the ECU to cause the valves to open in the muffler outlet pipes with engine vacuum?.

It doesn't change the sound of the Z06 mufflers, just the valve engagement.

BTW OP. If you do the Z06 muffler mod you should also tack weld the inner pieces of metal or you'll get rattles later. Ask me how I know.

With longtubes it is really loud, in a good way. With the NPP in a box it's nearly stock at the touch of a button. Very important when your local law enforcement officer is nearby.

The other day I went around a stock 4-door black Charger on a three-lane road in the loud mode. I wasn't hard on the gas, but when I got in front of him I saw red and blue flashing lights behind his grille. I slowed down, put it in quiet mode and the lights went off and he pulled up alongside with his finger pointed up in the air. Then he pulled in front of me and a few blocks later pulled into a parking lot. I kept going straight and counted my blessings. Now every stock car I see has me worried.

About a year ago there was a marked unit and three pieces of absolute crap vehicles 30 feet from my front door at a 4-way intersection. Turns out they had arrested a neighbor and the pieces of crap were undercover vehicles. I would have never guessed they were police units.

Decades ago I was with a friend in his 79 Trans Am playing with another vehicle in Phoenix. We were in the left turning lane and this crappy rusty Dodge 4-door pulled alongside us and they guy said "I'm not impressed with either of you." I told him to suck my d***. Siren comes on and within 2 minutes there are three other units there. Dude was a Lt and he wasn't happy. He hadn't identified himself so there were no repurcussions, but again it was a complete piece of crap he was driving.

For now, I'm driving my old Camaro...it's pretty loud...as you say, in a nice way...it has a very good report, like that said in the gun world. At idle, it'll make a small building shake if I park next to it (my dentist said I made his building shake when I pulled up for my appointment). So I'm used to and enjoy the sound of a moderately opened exhaust on a V-8. I've been next to police cars and they don't even notice me. I guess some areas police loud cars more than others...or could it be my older looking face and my bald, graying head? Interesting because I'm driving what's normally known as a young hoodlum's car

I'm planning to pull the fuse to allow those valves in back to stay open all the time. Otherwise, the sound is just so, well, civilized....and...I just can't have that, now can I? I'm too used to disturbing the peace for the past 25 years

Mine is open (loud) 99% of the time. It's a V8, it shouldn't be neutered.
