Default Smog question

I have an 06 vette I purchased in 2011. in 2011, it had its first smog. i just rec'd the reg this year and did not need smog. does that mean my smog will be due next year.. just trying to figure this out to see if I should do my mods now or next year..

Yeah, in California it is every other year for the smog.

Six years from new until 1st smog, then every two years.
