Default LS3 cam help!

Hey everybody! This is my first forum post.a little background...I bought my first corvette back in may, now I'm wanting a bigger cam. I would really like a torque can if possible. The specs I would like would be around the 573/603 236 duration. My dad had these specs on his 396 Chevelle. Is it possible to get something like this or am do I sound like I'm off my rocker? Also info on where to find something close would greatly appreciated.

Obviously a lot depends on trans, manual or auto.

Here's a nice writeup:

Here's another. It's centered on the LS2 but still educational. Pay attention to posts by our resident expert, SpinMonster:

That old big block and your ls3 are totally different animals. Main thing you have to worry about is ptv clearance with a cam of more than 231 degrees @.050" on the intake side, the biggest I've heard of clearing without flycutting is 235*.
