Default RE 11 265x305

I'm ready to pull the trigger on new set of RE 11 tires to replace my GY run flats but before I do I was hoping folks with the same combo could help answer a few questions.

1 Does anyone have a few pics of these on a base vettes wheels?

2 Those with this setup, any TC issues? From what I've read on the forum it seems like the answer is no TC issues but just want to check in again to see if over time that has changed.

Thx

I have that exact setup, and have been really happy with those tires overall. They are very sticky for their treadwear rating, mine balanced out really well (very low weight/loaded run-out on Roadforce), and have lasted longer than I expected.

As for TC, I do seem to get an occasional traction control activation at high speed and WOT. Seems to happen over 100 mph. I don't know if it has to do with the tires, or the way my car accelerates with ~700 whp. I don't think I'm actually breaking the tires loose, but it could be. The stock Supercars would break loose at the top of 3rd sometimes. Otherwise, no issues with TC.

Unless you have Big power why not go with the stock sizes? I am over 500 rwhp and love the grip of my stock sized RE-11's.

I had stock size on my last set and they have the best grip for acceleration out of the ones I've tried (stock GY runflats, Michelin PS2). Hard to chirp 2nd gear with the RE11 and stock power.

I am now trying Kumho XS for lateral G, but I also have head n cam mods now, so can't say how much power these can hold vs. RE11, but I think RE11 is probably one of the best street tires for putting the power down!

Also plan to have either an ECS or A$A installed in the spring so thought the wider size would be a good move. Perhaps stock size is the way to go to avoid TC issues.

Those power adders will give you great power for sure, not sure what your time line is for increasing the power put the stock sizes are a guarantee no issue with your TCS. You could honestly get a different pair of wheels for the rear with some DR's and hold the new power when you get there.

I ran RE11 265/305 combo for two seasons (street and track) on stock wheels. No fitment issues, no TC issues. Highly recommended.

Currently run Hankook RS-3 in same sizes. Here is a picture

So which do you like better RE-11 vs. RS-3?
