I've been driving my '05 c6 for about a week now (just picked it up via the FS section). The car has refused to start three times. All three times, unplugging/replugging the negative battery terminal has fixed the problem.
I don't get anything from my dash about the column lock, though after reading this thread:
It seems like that may be my issue. Something weird - this morning, the car wouldn't start. Instead of unplugging the battery, I just repositioned the steering wheel to be lower and then hit the ignition, then it turned over. I'll try this again next time it happens to see if this was a fluke.
In the meantime - does anyone know what this could be, and how I can test it?
I get all dash lights/accessories/gauges on, with a voltage reading of between 13 and 14.
Just throwing this out there, but I had a similar issue. It turned out to be the connector on my starter was broken. Due to high heat, the plastic housing where the power wire connects was broken. The issue was intermittently, until it finally would not start at all. I replaced the starter and all was good. If you want to save money on a starter, there is a thread about using a starter for a Tahoe. You have to change the connector on a wire, but a lot cheaper than a corvette starter.
