Default Speakers question..

I have what appears to be a 1LT and the crappy stereo. My passenger door speaker sounds shot. I ordered the door fastener barbs, prior to removal, but is there "ANY" reason I cant put whatever brand speaker in there? I ideally would like to put a set of components maybe even amplify. Just curious if theres some weird reason these cars are diff.. I dont see how. I also am wondering which wire I can pull from for amp signal if anyone knows..?
Otherwise I might just look for some good stock stuff and call it a day..

Thanks..

I did just what you are wanting to do. Replaced door speakers with components and added 2 amps and a sub in the back keeping the factory hu. You will need a wire harness to give you rca output for the amp. Check the FAQ thread in the audio forum. Everything you need to know is there. BTW, my system sounds 10x better than it did before.

Talk to Dennis at doubledmods.
He's a forum sponser, very knowlegeable and has some great speaker/amp specials that include all the hardware/wiring etc.

Stock it's a 10" woofer and 5-1/4 mid/tweet. I bought some adapter plates and put 6-1/2" mid range and a tweeter.
