I am restoring a 1970 Chevy nova and going to put a LS engine in it. I have the opportunity to get a LS1 with 20k miles for $3k and new transmission for $5k or buy a 2012 LS3 from a Corvette with about 4k miles for $12K. Which is a better deal?
Tell us you re joking. If you have to ask if 12 000 dollars for a used ls3 engine is a good deal then maybe you shouldnt be driving a corvette.Come on you cant be serious asking a question like that.
SDPC is a dealer. Contact them and find out how much it will take to set you up. Are the transmissions you are talking about C5 or C6 Corvette transmissions or from an F car? If Corvette transmissions, how are you planning on installing the transmission? You do know the Vette transmissions are located in the rear of the car and connected to the engine through a torque tube????
I'm a dealer, and I can help guide you straight on the transmissions as well, as a Corvette transmission will not work for what you're doing. I should have anything you need for the swap into your Nova
