Cool idea, makes sense. I think I will make one on my college's rapid prototype printer. See if it works...

Got my Wedge today. Next test and tune at the track is Wednesday night so that's when I'll try it out. I will make two runs before then install the wedge and make a couple more runs. This will be my second outing so I know generally what the car will run. I'd say a .05 reduction in ET would be nice!

I heard there might be an issue with the Power Wedge combined with a FAST and VR CAI. Something about the coupler not flexing enough with the angle of the TB after the wedge is installed. To the shops who've installed these, were there any issues? Did the cars have FASTs and/or VR CAIs? Or, this would be a shock, does VaraRam actually want to provide some data support for their new product?

I sent an email to VaraRam and a local shoo last week but still haven't heard back.

I have this combo and just received my power wedge. We'll see if this is an issue when I install it....

I suspect you'd see a bit better gain from a stock vehicle with minor mods, like air intake and header/exhaust. Thanks for sharing the info.

Yes please post up any issues you notice. I'm assuming you also have a tune? Do you plan on retuning after the install?

Threw mine on for a few days before the track. It's a pain with the Vararam intake and wedge to install at one time. Loosen all the clamps first then re-assemble the intake tract. Felt a noticeable increase in low end torque. Haven't got it up to speed to see gains up top.

I'll take it off before the track and run my comparison.

Have to see how you do at the track, 8 lbs of tq is hard to feel in a high tq car to begin with. But every bit helps. Maybe you felt a better throttle response?

I'm having a couple of issues. The Power wedge is hard...unlike the VR spacer. The silver metal below the TB/PW has a ridge on it that is touching the bottom of the Power Wedge...which is throwing off the alignment for the bolts. It put an inprint on the spacer but it doesn't like the Power Wedge.... I don't see why the wedge that thick on the bottom...even if the ridge was removed, it would be a tight fit. II thin the width between the bottom of the circle and the bottom of the wedge needs to be closer...shortening the overall hieght of the Power Wedge...I'm tired...

goodnite

Thick at the bottom? Sounds like you trying to install it upside down. The wedge angles your throttle body down. Least on the LS3 it does.

I'm installing it correctly...I'm talking about the overall height of the spacer...specifically the amount of material from the bottom of the wedge to the bottom 2 holes. I need the wedge to move down a couple of millimeters for all 4 holes to line up correctly....but it hits the water pump.

A little grinding would probably solve this problem but don't have the tools to do it.

Use a file or some course sand paper maybe wrap around something or place the sandpaper on a flat surface if you need to take the whole side/edge down evenly.

PS: Aftermarket stuff does not aways fit as well as it should from my experience.

Supposedly their customer service is top notch. Although that's not apparent in any of these threads.

After looking at it today, I think I have a few burrs on top of the water pump causing the issue.
