ive got a 2007 ls2 with auto trans, and im installing a ls3 also out of a 2007 complete with manual trans.
will everything just plug in and start up? or does anything ave to be modded? the stock ls3 has everything on it, simply taking it out and replacing the ls2, ls2 is blown.
id appreciate any input to make this as easy as possible without finding out the hard way.
yup engine codes are both "u" , i guess the person before me just changed the covers to feel better about themselves. i guess the 2007 ls2 to 2007 ls2 swap shouldn't be to complicated
LS2 to LS2 swap should be able to be done in a weekend.
2006+ LS2 to wet sump LS3 should yield the same results.
2006+ LS2 to dry sump LS3 tougher due to battery relocation, oil tank mounting and all MAP/MAF pigtails and tuning needed.
2005 LS2 to dry sump LS3 pain in the a$$. Same as above plus conversion box to engine harness to convert 58 tooth reluctor signal to 24 tooth ECU requirements. See below.
