c6 z06 oil psi decrease at acceleration!?

c6 z06 oil psi decrease at acceleration!?
Searched the forum and NO ONE TOLD US THE SOLUTION so i will make sure i do.
Couple weeks back i noticed my oil PSI would was lower then normal when i was stock in traffic. On a dead stop the car would drop to the teens and once it went down to 9psi! (car was warm) It started doing the opposite it would normally do on acceleration also. When accelerating the pressure would decrease, and when you let off the gas it would increase. It would never go past 40-45. Cold starts it wouldn't go past 53psi. Correct me if im wrong but it would hit minimum of 70 when i first got the car.
Took it to the dealer this morning and they called saying its a faulty oil pressure sensor and they are going to replace it. Going to cost me $500 bucks (should of done it myself), but i HIGHLY doubt thats the problem. I also had them cut open the oil filter and they said a little of metal dust was in there, but that was normal and nothing to worry about.
Thought/Personal experience? Anyone have this problem? Could use some help.

Oil pressure sending unit is fairly common failure, exhibiting various symptoms before and after.
I suggest you go talk to the guys in the Z06 Forum to be sure symptoms aren't indicative of a worse problem.
