Thought we'd pass these pics along. A customer requested that we port their Typhoon manifold and open up the plenum opening to 102mm to match their Nick Williams 102mm throttle body.
Nice. I'm thinking of putting a polished typhoon on my z51 mn6. I installed one on my c5 when I I stalledmy mayhem 2 cam kit. I used an ls7 throttle body. Typhoon intake, cam and short tube headers made 416 whp. And that was only an 85 mm tyhoon that i opened up to 90mm on the snout. That was on an ls1, the looks are second to none. Store anyone says heat soak. BS. We made 5 back to runs on the dunk, no pressure or air flow gram changes, no lose in power. The early typhoon s had issues with gaskets, and combined with amateur home mechanics, gave this intake a bad rap. For $400 shipped I'm getting ready to order another one for my c6. Here's a pic of one on my c5
Do we have any flow bench results to back up the work?
Do these have a plate on the bottom to port the plenum and runner openings?
Sorry, no flow bench info. This was done at customers request and I don't think they did before/after flow bench or dyno.
Yes, the manifold does have a plate on the bottom. However, we didn't remove it to do the porting. Our tools reach into the runners and plenum about 5". Also, the customer sent us a template of their head intake ports to port match to.
