Here is my home made pucks out of delrin with a couple version for my unibody cars - not pretty but functional:

They look very good.

Have to agree. I installed the BMW pads years ago, lost one, now the side still with it is a pain in my rear as the car is too low to get the jack under the side with the pad. I'm about ready to take it out. I've jacked the car up hundreds of times with no pad and never damaged anything. Heck I don't even have to get under the car to check placement of the jack any more, I know where to put the jack.

Looking back at my old post above, seems I stopped being so careful!

I am sure with your well cared for and professionally prepped performance DD, you are aware the exposure to lots of "normal" airborne under carriage projectiles in your travels.

On that note, I do what I can to lessen the intentional or inadvertent mishaps during normal maintenance.

Jacking pucks are a must, especially if you use a jack, since as car is lifted (angled compared to the flat cradle), all the weight will be at one spot. The pucks distribute the weight evenly at a much larger area. Common sense, right? .

Anyway, I have 4 round BMW pucks 'permanently' installed. But also bought one of the taller, rectangular ones to use with the BMW jack kit I carry on trips, to be able to patch a flat (even runflats crap out at 50 miles tops if not plugged). And yes, I carry a plastic trim tool to easily remove any of those pucks. Pics of both below. A wise investment IMO, since they'd never come off on their own. By the way, remove the middle pin from the rectangular pucks, to avoid locking them in place accidentally (those are too tall to leave installed all the time). Hope this helps.

^^^ I actually hit something in the road and lost one of my BMW pucks like that.

Frankly I don't use the puck on that side anymore and my car is no worse for wear. I am no longer a fan of the pucks as they cause me to need to drive on boards to jack the car.

That's the route I went, jack still fits under them and they conform to the jack-stands well...
