Default Cam Install....

What are you guys hearing for a cam install price AND a re-tune after its installed? price wise $$$$$$

cam,
springs,
pushrods,
gaskets.
tune.

It would be a new cam & springs, & pushrods..the car has been tuned, but I Assume it would need another tune after the cam install..

I think I've seen prices on the forum in the $1,800. to $2,000. range for this. the majority of the cost is in labor which you could avoid by doing yourself if you have the tools and a garage to do the work in. it will definetly need a tune after the cam install. tune cost will vary by tuner.

Absolutely needs to be re-tuned after the cam/spring install.

Depending on the shop you should be in the 2k-2500 range. This will depend on parts used and if they did the original tune or not. Let me know if you have any questions or need one installed.

I paid $800 for cam install by a top GM Tech and $450 for the dyno tune.

Typical cost will be around 2k for a basic cam install as you listed it.
