It took almost 3 months, two transmissions, 3 different shops, GM, HP Tuner, and countless hours of labor but we got her fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The changed every electrical part under the hood, injectors, sensors, coil packs, plugs, plug wires, MAF, throttle body, wiring harness, etc. They erased the computer and tried to load the program countless times but my random lean spike would not go away. We tried many different tunes, speed density, etc and it was still there. I am not a computer guru so I might butcher this but they said it was a bad line of code and it kept importing or would not erase??? Anyway it caused all kinds of gremlins like making 3rd and 4th apply at the same time. Powerfab was pulling their hair out and they spent hours and hours trying to fix the issues and had all kinds of outside help looking at the problem as well. I was scared my bill was going to be enough to buy a new car but when I went to pick it up they said No Charge. I did pay for a few parts I requested like a new catch can and CAI but they ate the rest. The car is running great and my lean spike is GONE.
Talk about throwing the toolbox at it. Now I am gunshy of the car and I am thinking about selling it. The only problem I have is that you can't remove the top on the ZR1 or the ZO6. A black grand sport coup with a clean bulletproof supercharger install is a serious consideration. If I could find a GT40 Ford supercar for a good price I would switch teams.
