I bought a set of slightly used phadt featherlight coilovers...ive noticed that everyone else's pics of these c/o's the springs are black.....my fronts are blk but rears are red? Any insight on these, they were said to be factory stock....?
Hey man, what is the part number on the red springs? We customize spring kits for customers all the time, maybe this is one of them.
Look for the number that starts with 0800, and just read us the whole thing. I will be able to tell you what it is.

ok,great. won't be able to get car up in the air til this weekend though...will let you know. they guy i purchased from (forgot screen name) said he purchased them and drove a couple hundred miles on them, but were to rough even dialed down...so sold them to me.
what is this particular spring designed for? autocross, dragstrip, ect?
I'm not familiar with the rates a C6 requires for each type of use. If the last owner felt they were too stiff, I would say they were built more track oriented. You could probably ask a question in the road race section and get a better answer. The cool thing about coilovers is you can change the springs to suit. Although if you make too big a change, the dampening circuits will need adjusted for the different spring weight as the range of adjustment will be outside the optimum dampening curve. I'm not sure if those Pfadts are rebuildable or revalveable. Hopefully Pfadt will chime in or call them Monday.

he told me that they were the same rate as the normal ones. that when these were made they must have been out of the blk ones and ordered those from eibach to complete order...same spring just differant color thats all
