Sounds like you might have custom rate springs if they are red like the ones that come with the "Double Adjustable" Featherlight Coilovers.

Hey man, what is the part number on the red springs? We customize spring kits for customers all the time, maybe this is one of them.

Look for the number that starts with 0800, and just read us the whole thing. I will be able to tell you what it is.

I'm not familiar with the rates a C6 requires for each type of use. If the last owner felt they were too stiff, I would say they were built more track oriented. You could probably ask a question in the road race section and get a better answer. The cool thing about coilovers is you can change the springs to suit. Although if you make too big a change, the dampening circuits will need adjusted for the different spring weight as the range of adjustment will be outside the optimum dampening curve. I'm not sure if those Pfadts are rebuildable or revalveable. Hopefully Pfadt will chime in or call them Monday.

Stock base/F55 springs are 420/657 and progressive. The Featherlights on the other hand are linear.
