Default up grade or not

i installed a billy boat fusion exhaust system. should i retain the stock air filters or change to k&n .

The stock ones provide all the air your engine needs, and more. I said 'more' becuase it's also good for the 7.0L LS7 engine, with 505HP and 7K rpm redline (same filter). Spend that money on some nice pedals, or some other cheap mod you can actually enjoy . Good luck.

Cold Air Kits are not simply about adding airflow as mentioned the stock set up flows very well---But by definition a CAI allows cooler outside air to get into your engine rather than heated underhood / near radiator air---
Colder air makes more HP ---A system that draws air from under the car or thru ducts is by location colder than it would be in the stock configuration
Typical gains of 5-8 RWHP are common
