Yes, did I miss something? Seeing as the ZL1 is right on par with a GS, I don't see even a stock LS2 Corvette having an issue with a 1LE.
11.6's with bolt-on's??? That's sounds impossible. I drove hugger's car to the 12.1 and we may have gotten it to an 11.9 on a better day or with more seat time. The car broke beforehand. I drove my own bolt-on car to a 12.4 on stock tires and that was one of that fastest bolt-on 5th gens in chicagoland, 11.6 is a pipe dream.
I witnessed it happen.... lol and I believe you can watch it on youtube.
02pewtersix is his board name. He went 12.7 bone stock and 11.600 @ 119 with boltons only. Only weight reduction was a drag pack. He ran that time shortly after I went 11.29 with my bolton LS2, so we were racing in similar weather with the same mods. The only thing I didn't have was skinnies.
Yeah, I can't see anything on that site because I'm banned from stating too many facts. I have yet to actually see 1 bolt-on 5th gen dip into the 11's and I have been around them since 2009. That was originally my goal but I got sick of chasing good money with bad. Can it done, sure. Is it a normal occurrence, no way.
True, bolt ons/Cartek heads & cam package/naturally aspirated on a stock bottom end LS3, the car moves.
Here's a video of it (fast forward to 2:29 for the track passes):
