ADD SOME POWER TO 1LE AND GOOD BYE
PS----:thumbup:I LUV MY CAR
I'm not too informed on the 1LE but its basically the ZL1 suspension without the supercharger right? So if that's the case it wont help much the ZL1 is 19 seconds slower around the Nurburgring and the stock 2010 SS is almost a full minute slower than a Z06.
Not downplaying the car at all it's a great suspension but compare the Z06 to the ZR1. Over 100 more HP and it's only 3 seconds faster around a nearly 13 mile course.
The Z06 and GT-R were not only tested in a different time, but also tested by mortal magazine journalists, not by Randy Pobst. In order to compare, you need to at least find times from a driver of the same caliber, or the same driver.
Randy ran a ZR1 around Laguna Seca to a new track record 1:33.7 against a new 2013 Viper at 1:35.7 The Vette pulled a 1.69 g vs a best 1.49 for the Viper. Both cars were 'straight' from the showroom.
Lol, the Vette and GTR are on a different level then a Camaro. I'll take my base LS2 07 over that over weight, bloated, under performing pile of **** known as the 5th gen.

I definitely agree this is clearly a troll thread, but unless your 07 LS2 is modified I wouldn't sell the 1LE short when it comes to track performance. It's a pretty serious track car, even with it's weight.
No matter what they have done to it, it will never compete with the Vette. The car is cheap feeling, is made of parts bin components and feels every bit as heavy as it is. I hated that car and am still upset I bought one new instead of getting a used C6. I'd be way ahead of the game by now.

I really like the 1LE package for that car. Of course its not a Vette but in terms of relatively cheap speed, its hard to beat.
I agree with you. You can get one for about 35K after discounts, and for that money, it performs very admirably. As a plus, if I were to crash it at the track, I would shed half the tears as I would with my Z06 since it's half the price.
In short, it's obviously a troll to state that it performs comparable to a Z06, but I think it is a very nice value for track use, even better than a ZL1 and a Z06 in my opinion.
As noted earlier, a Z06 tested by Randy ran a 1:20.43 (on PS2s, not even Cup tires), 2.3 seconds quicker than the 1LE. So yeah, your 1LE gets slapped around just as hard as the Mustang did in this test.
1LE fixes a lot of the Camaro SS shortcomings, but a Z06 competitor it is not. Not even in the same league really.
Yes, did I miss something? Seeing as the ZL1 is right on par with a GS, I don't see even a stock LS2 Corvette having an issue with a 1LE.

11.6's with bolt-on's??? That's sounds impossible. I drove hugger's car to the 12.1 and we may have gotten it to an 11.9 on a better day or with more seat time. The car broke beforehand. I drove my own bolt-on car to a 12.4 on stock tires and that was one of that fastest bolt-on 5th gens in chicagoland, 11.6 is a pipe dream unless he has weight reduction and substantial suspension mods.
