I have searched, sure it's here somewhere...but, I have a couple questions:
1) Is removing the halo a must in order to replace the seal that is between the back of the halo and the rear glass?
2) Is the seal available at a lower price someplace other than the dealer? Is there a kit that has all the seals (figure if I pull it off I might as well replace all of them).

Answer for number 1:
The only reason to replaced the seal is for replacing the Halo. It is an external seal, really has no purpose other than to fill the gap between the halo and the glass. It is about 35 bucks.
The seal on mine is cracked, like the glass dragging across it ate it up, that's why I need to replace it, just wasn't sure if I had to pull the halo to do it.
So, what you are saying is I can replace this without removing the halo?

just speculation but i would think removing the hatch maybe easier for working room, as i just replaced my halo and although it only took about 3 hours cause i have the xm on top i would say the hatch would make things easier
